Scott Spiezle, AIA, LEEDap , President & CEO, is pleased to announce the hiring of A. Stevens Krug, AIA, PE, CEM, LEED ™ap, to the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. This key addition to the firm’s senior management team is an important component in the firm’s drive to bolster its leadership team, and enhance its position in the marketplace, through the expansion of its service offerings and geographic presence throughout the mid-Atlantic region.
In this newly created position, Mr. Krug will have responsibility for all day-to-day client services delivery and spearhead the teams responsible for accelerating the firm’s strategic growth initiatives. Mr. Krug will complement an exceptionally talented and highly credentialed roster of professionals at Spiezle.

Mr. Krug is a 25-year veteran in the field of architecture; possessing an extensive breadth of knowledge and experience in sustainable design and energy management. His areas of specialty include public sector facility design, business development and administration. Prior to Spiezle, he served as the Chief Architect and Senior Vice President of Facilities for Buchart-Horn/Basco Associates, Inc., based in York, PA, and oversaw the operations of two remote offices. In addition to his work at other design firms, Mr. Krug has run his own company and served as an adjunct professor at Penn State University. He is a Board Member of the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Chapters of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and has served with distinction on the boards of numerous other professional associations. His many professional honors include being recognized for Projects of Distinction from School and College Planning and Management magazine and Design Awards of Excellence in Architecture from the AIA. Mr. Krug is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council and Association of Energy Engineers, and has been published in numerous industry trade publications.
Mr. Krug received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Syracuse University and attended graduate study courses at Penn State University.
