CEO Scott Spiezle Receives Award from Mercer County Education Groups

TRENTON, New Jersey, March 13, 2006 – Scott R. Spiezle, president and CEO of Spiezle
Group, Inc., was honored March 10th at the Third Annual Recognition Dinner sponsored by the Washington Education Foundation, Inc. and Partners Investing in Education. Nearly 200 guests were on hand at the Robert Wood Johnson Health and Wellness Center in Mercerville, New Jersey, for the event.

Washington Township Board of Education Vice President and Foundation Member Pat Foti said in his dinner remarks, “Washington Township had a vision for our children, our community, and our school district. We needed a partner: Scott Spiezle.” Foti added, “In business over 50 years, you would be hard pressed to visit a school district in our great state and not see a school project that has benefited from Spiezle Group’s imagination and expertise.”

The Foundation, in partnership with the Washington Township Board of Education and
Partners Investing in Education, was instrumental in bringing to reality the new, 220,000-squarefoot Washington Township High School, which opened in September 2005. The creation of the high school marked the first time Washington Township could educate its children within the township all the way through grade 12. Previously, children in the district went to high school in nearby Lawrence Township. Washington Township High School was designed by Spiezle Group, Inc.

“Washington Township High School represents very progressive thinking by school board members and community partners who risked criticism and worked tirelessly to move forward with the creation of the first high school for Washington Township,” said Spiezle in his remarks to the dinner guests. “While I am deeply honored to be presented with this special award, it’s the Washington Township Board of Education and their partners in progress who should be honored for making their dreams for the children of Washington Township come true. They proved that this community places education first.”
