The Florence High School is designed as an active community school with a range of multi-use
and educational spaces. This departmentally programmed facility combines traditional classrooms with technology and vocational instruction support to respond to the community’s full range of curriculum demands. Flexibility is magnified through spaces that work together, such as the combined music instruction and stage spaces, the location of the commons area to support dining, outside use, and the auditorium. Energy efficient design features, including an ice storage chiller system, assist in the reduction of operating costs moving forward.
The facility is located within a 55-acre campus that includes a 700-seat stadium, a transportation complex, and various athletic fields, serving as a true home for the districts celebrated sports and academic programs.
