Complete interior renovation and rehabilitated exterior of the student housing; built in
1921 by a former George School teacher. The shingle-style building was reorganized
to provide a 4-bedroom faculty “house parent” residence, dorm rooms for eight students and a guest suite for campus visitors. The renovation seeks to integrate contemporary standards of student lifestyle, and supervision, into the historic campus structure. The building is equipped with new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems. The exterior rehabilitation included the replacement of worn-out materials with new and period-appropriate replacements; while providing economical, sustainable, and durable materials that would withstand the next 50 years.
