The GTAYMCA serves the combined communities of Trenton, Ewing and Lawrence Township. The location of the new facility has been strategically placed on a highly visible site within a redevelopment zone bordering major thoroughfares in Trenton, New Jersey. Due to Trenton’s historical significance, the building design required local agency approval for exterior materials, art sculpture and open space. Nearby historic Roebling buildings played a key role in the new GTAYMCA’s brick, metal panel, and cast stone façade. The facility will consist of a complete Fitness Center, Gymnasium, Indoor Aquatic Center, Pre-School Classrooms, Locker Rooms and amenities, Multi-Purpose Room, and Leased Health Care Spaces.
