Needing to address the enrollment growth and outdated facilities, the Lawrence Township Board of Education approved a major building campaign, with support from the community, which included additions and major renovations to Lawrence High School, Benjamin Franklin Elementary School and Lawrenceville Elementary School.
Due to the complexity and scope of the High School project, a detailed phased construction plan was coordinated that allowed administrative and educational departments to relocate with minimal interruption. Extensive site improvements provided new vehicular parking and circulation including designated student drop off/pick up areas for parents and buses. Subsequent projects have included window, roofing and flooring replacement and photovoltaic solar panel installations at all of the districts seven schools.
