This 40,000 SF facility incorporates a full array of municipal functions as well as a senior center equipped with a commercial grade kitchen, multipurpose room, living room, crafts and game room. The building takes full advantage of a steeply sloping site by tucking mechanical and storage spaces in the sub-grade lower level that opens out to grade at the rear of the site. In doing so, the building maintains a less imposing façade at the main entry while acting as a highly visible landmark from the valley below. Sustainable features include a high performance exterior envelope, maximized daylighting, carbon dioxide sensors, low VOC and renewable materials, high efficiency mechanical systems and a light colored roof membrane.
