Point Pleasant Beach High School

Project Details

The Point Pleasant Beach High School, with construction completed in August ‘03, was a project exclusively designed and managed by Spiezle Architectural Group, Inc. Completely renovated over a 26-month, 8-phased construction time frame, the key aspect of this project was the need for the facilities to remain occupied and operational throughout the construction process.

The renovation of the 78,000-Sq. Ft. high school (originally built in 1922) began on the last day of school in June 2001 and was completed for the start of the new term in September 2003. The project, a comprehensive upgrade of the 5-story facility included: a complete replacement of the HVAC and computer networking systems, finishes, window systems, interior space improvements, and reconstruction of mechanical and other utility systems inclusive of new distribution systems as well as equipment. The project phasing was carefully planned to occur over two (2) years, allowing for minimal swing space and constant operation of the facility, as noted above. Completion occurred on time and within budget, resulting in award-winning recognition.
