Uwchlan Township, a municipality in Chester County, would like to construct a 57 kW roof top solar photovoltaic system on the Uwchlan Township Office, an existing complex of buildings operated by the township. Several of the Township’s environmental and energy goals will be achieved or advanced by the construction of this solar energy project, including:

A reduction in the Township’s reliance on conventional energy resources.
Reductions in air pollution emissions and greenhouse gas production.
Improvements in overall environmental quality.
In addition, the project will serve as an educational tool to bring information to the over 16,576 community members about responsible energy usage and the benefits of sustainable design.
