The Waynesboro Medical Office building is a free standing 3 story, 53,000 SF structure located adjacent to the hospital. The building consolidated all the system’s physician office practices under one roof. More
The building was designed in accordance with the Lean-Led Hospital Design principles outlined by the Virginia Mason Hospital of Seattle, Washington. This premise is based on the efficiencies of the staff so that a center core is developed on each wing of the building. Each staff enters each examination room from the work core with the examination rooms surrounding it as patients are led along a perimeter corridor which allows them to access the room separately. Each of the building floors has a total of 30 examination rooms. The examination rooms are generic in design so that the many practices can interchange their use. These specialty practices include Pediatrics, OB GYN, Internal Medicine, Orthopedics, Endoscopy, ENT and Cardiology.
