In partnership with the United States Government and the National Park Service, conversion of a historic homestead within the grounds of Valley Forge National Park afforded an opportunity for renewal combined with creation of a modern educational environment. Montessori teamed with Spiezle for a multi-million dollar renovation and expansion. The school moved into its current location in the beautifully restored Ivy Hollow Farm, and the transition into this beautiful facility was the dream and accomplishment of staff and alumni parents who dedicated four years to bring the vision to reality. Located on 3.5 acres within Valley Forge National Historic Park, the new purpose-built school features six classrooms, a large multi-purpose room for gym and art, a meeting room dedicated for Parents, and a room specifically for Parent and Toddler classes. The Montessori Children’s House of Valley Forge is a strong cohesive community of children, teachers, board members and parents who strive for one common goal – to provide a nurturing Montessori environment where the students are encouraged to become independent and curious learners and more importantly kind and responsible citizens. The newly renovated farmhouse and barn on 3.5 acres within the park is an idyllic setting for a Montessori school, and it is the first private school in a National Park in the country.
