Joseph A. O'Brien Park in the City of Elizabeth, NJ encompasses a city block and was redeveloped from curb-to-curb. Improvements included a synthetic turf soccer field, play structures, shade structures, a gazebo, pedestrian lighting, restoration of historic ‘Christopher Columbus’ Statue, renovation of historic ornamental fencing, and other park-wide improvements. The project also included coordination with a LSRP for the removal and disposal of 9,000 tons of historic fill. The project was designed by Adam Alexander prior to employment at Spiezle Architectural Group.
