FIRST PLACE RECIPIENT OF THE 2003 ARCHITECTURAL AWARD FOR MAJOR RENOVATIONS

as presented by NJSBA, NJASA & NJASBO

Point Pleasant Beach High School - Point Pleasant Beach School District

The Spiezle Architectural Group has received a FIRST PLACE AWARD for major renovations for their work at the Point Pleasant Beach High School by the New Jersey School Boards Association, New Jersey Association of School Administrators and New Jersey Association of School Business Officials.

The scope of work entailed the complete renovation of the school, which included relocation and restructuring of the fitness room, music room, wood shop, nurse and guidance offices. Complete alterations were done to all lobbies, corridors, stairwells, classrooms, science labs, art and home economic classrooms, locker rooms, toilet rooms, and administrative areas. Realizing the appeal of the school's original architectural style and charm, our firm designed the renovated areas, in particular the main lobby and media center, to incorporate the existing style in order to maintain the school's history.

The award will be presented to the proud Associate-in-Charge, Larry Uher, AIA, on October 23rd during the NJSBA, NJASBO & NJASA conference in Atlantic City.
