Our Culture

Career Growth and Employee Engagement

Our team of employee-owners is actively engaged in building their skills and advancing their careers through training and development; mentoring; collaboration; and a culture that supports individual growth.   Our leadership development and succession planning endeavors to create a wealth of opportunity for existing and new team members.  It also creates a foundation for leadership sustainability and continuity.  We have a documented history of promoting from within – many of our Principals and Associate Principals were promoted as a result of solid succession planning and a culture that supports the dedication and commitment to individual growth.  In fact, our President and CEO began his tenure with the Firm as a Project Architect.

Our Young Professionals Group is an active group of up-and-coming professionals who support one another in their licensure endeavor and actively participate in charitable and community events, including but not limited to work on pro-bono projects such as the Homeless Women’s Art Center at Children’s Hospital; Parking Day; Canstruction; Local Food Drives; IMI Masonry Camp and so much more! For more information, please visit our Work / Life Balance page.

We foster an environment and culture that provides for numerous developmental and educational programs throughout the year. Other venues of learning include podcasts/ webinars, in-house training, and Lunch n’ Learns to ensure knowledge sharing, learning, and professional development never ends. In addition, our professional teams meet for adhoc design reviews, charettes, and other brainstorming activities – embracing a collaborative design process!

We believe an engaged workforce leads to happy clients whose expectations are met or exceeded. We accomplish this through participatory and engaging committees made up of any team member who has interest in contributing.  Committee efforts have led to continuous development within the firm and adoption of best practices, including a full rollout of Revit several years ago.
