Melissa Taylor

Melissa has more than 20 years of experience in designing and preparing construction documents for lighting, power distribution systems, fire alarm, and telecommunications systems. She is a creative lighting-certified professional who enjoys working closely with architects, interior designers, and clients to ensure that lighting selections — both fixtures and controls — achieve functionality while meeting the aesthetic design intent. She has vast experience in different project types around the country, with PE licensure in more than 25 states.
Melissa is a passionate problem solver, always seeking knowledge and personal growth, and enjoys mentoring designers and engineers in the industry.
Melissa received her Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Bachelor of Science in Technology Education from North Carolina State University.
Outside of the office, Melissa enjoys travelling, books, and spending time with her husband and two sons.
