Ulka Panchal
RA | Associate Principal
Ulka is an Associate Principal who leads multidisciplinary teams through complex, large-scale educational facility projects across New Jersey. She translates complex operational needs into highly functional, buildable environments while protecting each project’s budget, schedule, and design vision.
From early visioning through occupancy, Ulka guides clients through every phase of project delivery, helping establish clear goals and align program scope with stakeholder priorities. She views regulatory frameworks and budget limits as opportunities for thoughtful problem solving, developing creative programmatic efficiencies that help manage construction costs while supporting predictable delivery.
A strong advocate for early stakeholder engagement, Ulka encourages clients to invest in the programming phase and design for flexibility beyond a building’s immediate needs. She values the collaboration and trust required to bring complex projects to life, and finds fulfillment in seeing completed spaces create meaningful, positive experiences for the people and communities they serve.
Ulka believes strong relationships are the foundation of successful projects. She mentors junior associates and project architects, creating opportunities for growth at every level and helping teams work together to deliver exceptional results. She is also a member of Professional Women in Construction (PWC) and a member and volunteer of a local elementary school’s Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). Outside of work, she enjoys hiking and walking trails with her family, gardening, caring for indoor plants, cooking and trying new recipes, and hosting dinners for family and friends.
Ulka received her Master of Architecture from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in architecture from Gujarat University in India.
