Spiezle Celebrates Groundbreaking at Acts Park Pointe Village

Spiezle Architectural Group, Inc. recently joined our project partners TLC Engineering, DCI Engineers, Vision Builders, Seamon Whiteside, Edifice Construction and community leaders today to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Acts Retirement-Life Communities’ (Acts) Park Pointe Village (PPV) Phase 1 expansion in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Spiezle is honored to have led the master planning and design concept for multiple phases of this transformative campus expansion. The project will effectively double the size of Park Pointe Village, setting a new standard for thoughtful, sustainable, senior living design and reinforcing its role as a flagship community within Acts portfolio.

Park Pointe Village is a not-for-profit continuing care retirement community (CCRC) serving adults aged 62 and over. The community integrates a continuum of care from independent living carriage homes and apartments to assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing within a welcoming, wellness-focused setting.

Phase 1 of the expansion will include 28 new assisted living apartments and a 10-unit memory care renovation, complemented by comprehensive updates to the existing independent living building. The second phase will follow with 41 new duplex style carriage homes with options featuring two-car garages, generous storage, and elevated finishes. A new 3-story independent living apartment will offer additional living options as well as covered parking and in-building amenities. A vibrant new clubhouse will anchor the campus, designed around contemporary lifestyle and hospitality principles to encourage social and active living. Highlights include a wood-fired kitchen, indoor-outdoor dining, a multi-purpose room, chapel, and pickleball gym.

As part of Spiezle’s integrated design approach, the firm’s landscape architecture team has reimagined the outdoor environment to foster health and create a cohesive and restorative experience. The campus will feature a new memory care garden, landscaped plazas and courtyards, walking trails, recreation and fitness areas, dog parks, sustainable site features, and community-branded signage blending the beauty of the natural surroundings with opportunities for movement, connection, and reflection.

The Park Pointe Village expansion represents a shared commitment by Acts’ and Spiezle’s to advancing the next generation of senior living communities through design innovation, health-forward planning, and a people-centered vision for aging well.
